Rainbow Moonstone Pendant Necklace 925 Sterling Silver

This pendant is made of Indian Moonstone and hand-wrapped in 13 gauge sterling silver wire.

Rainbow Moonstone is a variety of white labradorite, a feldspar mineral from the plagioclase family, known for its beautiful blue and multicolor iridescence called labradorescence. Although commonly called “moonstone,” it is technically different from true moonstone (orthoclase feldspar).

It forms in igneous rocks rich in feldspar, where alternating layers within the mineral scatter light and create its characteristic rainbow sheen. Rainbow Moonstone is primarily found in India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and Australia. With its milky body color and flashes of blue, violet, and sometimes yellow or green, Rainbow Moonstone is highly valued for jewelry, carvings, and polished cabochons. Size: 1 1/8" x 1/2".
