Larimar Pendant Necklace 925 Sterling Silver

This pendant is made of Larimar and hand wrapped in 13 gauge 925 sterling silver wire.

Larimar is a rare and highly sought-after blue gemstone found exclusively in the Dominican Republic. It is a unique variety of the mineral pectolite, distinguished by its remarkable shades of blue—ranging from soft sky-blue to deep turquoise—and the natural white patterns that often resemble waves, clouds, or the colors of tropical waters.

Formed inside volcanic cavities, Larimar takes shape when hot, mineral-rich fluids crystallize into pectolite within basaltic rock. The presence of copper and other trace minerals is what gives the stone its vivid blue coloration. Because Larimar comes from a single geographic source and requires specific geological conditions to form, it is considered rare and increasingly valuable.
