Indonesian Fossilized Coral Handmade Stone Pendant Wrapped in Silver

Indonesian Fossilized Coral Handmade Stone Pendant Wrapped in Silver

This pendant is made of Indonesian Fossilized Coral and hand-wrapped in 13 gauge sterling silver wire.

Fossil coral is an organic torso of the creatures known to live in a salt chuck of the creation. They are agatized, so for this eminence, this fossil coral is further termed as 'Agatized fossil coral' or sometimes just 'agatized coral'. The agate supersedes the fossils of the corals at the time of their formation. Agate is the chalcedony that occurs naturally in the gall of nature, also called microcrystalline quartz. These fossil corals get hardened because of the silica-rich deposits in the water. This intact creation process will take around twenty million years with the unique support of geological stipulations. Corals are none other than the skeletons of the dead marine animals that are then preserved often leaving behind the floral patterns in the Boulder. Fossil coral is likely to hold the composition of silicon dioxide (SiO2) and is conceived to be a variety of agate. These fossilized corals in today’s world are wielded in industrial composts to purify the water, as it is predisposed to remove the impurities of chemicals like chlorine and formaldehyde. The presence of silica in this fossil coral may scale from light nebulous opaline to dense appearances of chalcedony. The density of these fossil corals too varies, as it depends on the concentration of the mineral.

Often called the “garden of the sea,” coral was once thought to be a plant but is now recognized as an organic gemstone formed through biological processes. Precious coral, found in deep, rocky seabeds over 500 feet deep, is created by tiny marine animals called coral polyps. These soft-bodied creatures form hard shells of calcium carbonate, gradually building intricate skeletal structures colored by carotenoid pigments. Growing at a slow pace of about one millimeter per year, coral ranges from small formations to vast reefs. Red coral, in particular, is valued for its associations with vitality, energy, and improved blood circulation.
